Think that was 1L to 2C. 1H only carries digital channels.

Yes, it was on 1L, 1H is carrying digital services only. :)

Is somebody know when Canal+ transmits scrambled signals? Today I was surfing on Astra (still 33 channels on air) and on AB, but no scrambled channels on AB :( I wanted to test descramble plugin for VirtualDub :)

Canal+ left AB3 a few months back when their last analogue VHF transmitter was turned off.

Oh wow really? I do apologise! I'd been told it'd been switched off - obviously not then. Thanks for that. :)

In that case it should be encrypted pretty much always other than around lunch time and dinner time. Try after 19:50 UK time every day - it definitely will be then.

I hope they won't become encrypted, although I watch the Sky UK package.

The next definite ones are the 5W channels at the end of November.

Update - 9Live closes on August 9th 2011. However the channel is being closed down by its owners. We will have to wait and see what happens to the analogue frequency - will it be turned off to save money or will a different channel take its place?

9Live ceased analogue transmissions at the first minutes of 2011, am I right? Which transponder you're talking about?

Oops! Id forgotten that :D

It would be nice to see a new channel, starting analogue transmission in the clear, but it's happening the opposite - less and less analogue channels ... :(

Hi analoguesat et al,

I have a trusty old analogue Grundig GRD300 which was originally installed at my old house in 1996 with an 80cm dish and an Irte Multisat arrangement, but I have mainly used it for watching motor racing on FTA Eurosport 19.2E.
(the Irte seized up pretty quickly – luckily while aiming at 19.2E – prob cos that’s what I mainly used.)

Since moving house in 2001 the grundig has been used with a simple 60cm dish still aimed at 19.2E.

The front display has disappeared but the thing still works without any repairs e.g. the oft-mentioned power supply.

My question (it may be a dumb one) is:

Is there anything that can be done with these analogue receivers short of taking them to the dump?
Have they any other use after april 2012?

If you dont need a modulator source to be honest you may as well take them up the dump. Ive been having a good clear out of all the old analogue stuff Ive had stashed away and its gone in the recycling bins up the local tip. No point hanging on to it now.....
