1,8 Channel Master, Black Pro LNB with CM feedhorn for 28 E which is my main interest when watching TV. VU+ DUO 4K SE, VU+ DUO 2, Octagon SF8008 and Vantage 8000 S and TS receivers. Fixed dishes at: 42 E (0,75 m), 28,2/28,5 E (1,8 m), 19,2 E (1,5 m), 13 E (1,1 m), 9 E (0,7 m), 5 E (1,2 m) and 1 W (0,7 m).

The European beam on 2G is very very strong in most parts of Europe. :Y:)

If reported SNR is reliable (screenshot), 6.9dB is actually pretty low and very marginal... for EU beam.

Yes 6,9 dB is very low but in Greece the levels are lower than in other parts of Europe. With an 1,8 CM antenna I get around 23-24 dB at my place in southern parts of Sweden. The UK beam comes in around 11,5 dB.

SES do not consider Greece as a European country and they have always proven that until the arrival of Astra 1K a few years back. All other positions than 19.2E have been extremely hostile towards Greece for DTH reception. Astra 2E and 2F have very peculiar "Pan" European beams (to them Pan stands for all other European countries) with 2E being received with dishes above 1.20m in average throughout the whole country (1.25 is even marginal) and 2F being only received only in Western and quite oddly Southern Greece (due to the unofficial Instabul beam) also with 1.20 and above dish sizes.
2G is the only one that's "semi" friendly covering only half the country and that is the northwest part where the signals are strong but then keeps decreasing significantly the southern you go.
So 7db in southern Peloponnese is actually accurate.
In Central Northern Greece I can only receive 2E europe with corresponding signals around 7-9db with 1.30m and this is with perfect alignment and very marginally, 2G comes very strong with signals around 12-16db but 2F is simply out of the question, not even 1.80 is enough.

It will always be at a disadvantage from an Eastern Longitude orbital slot, perhaps Greece should weigh anchor and sail a bit further west along the Med.
