Yes,
What size dish are you using for 53 east ?

With luck it will be the 2.2m as of next week, just having the roof assessed for the asphalt and adding a pond membrane under the concrete.

Is that the 2.2m Precision, its a nice dish? If you need a hand getting it onto the roof or the mount I am happy to pop over.

Thanks, it’s all in hand.

I’m using the same IRTE polarmount that was on the 1.8m and a similar 36” actuator, though I will adapt the elevation clamp to accept a 12” actuator, more to hide the reflector below the parapet when not in use but also from the worst of the westerly gales.

Interesting, as mentioned in the other topic of "Airborne" I have an IRTE polar mount and was wondering what size dish it was capable of taking re wind load and weight.

Is the dish to be used for any specific frequency band or are you going to have a multi band feed arrangement on it?
Good luck with the install, I hope it proceeds as planned for you.

I will have to check but from memory the same mount was used on the 2,4m IRTE reflector, albeit with a large ring adapter. The polarmount I have is slightly different to most since it has the crossarms, as opposed to the 24" backplate, which is around 1.4m end to end.

Band will be initially Ku band. If it performs to specification, as per the Elite gain figures, then I'll have a go at Ka band, but that will be for another day/month.

Interesting, I have not seen an IRTE polar mount with that configuration. A picture would be nice if you get the opportunity? It might give me an idea for my bodge job?

Attached below is today's scan result table for 53.0 East.

I managed to lock most of the Fixed 2 beam frequencies but had no luck with the Fixed 1 beam frequencies. There was the faintest flicker of a Fixed 1 beam signal from 11044V but it was about as noticable as a fart in a hurricane.

All of the Fixed 1 beam frequencies that I locked were with strong signal levels and way above the level required for a lock. Nowt of note here, on to the next...

This package of 13 TV channels is received in ROMANIA with the WAVE FRONTIER antenna (the equivalent of 90 cm) ... so, the EXPRESS AM5 satellite (53 east) ... at the same time, with the same antenna and the same LNB, it is still received. 3 satellites (AL YAH1 (52.5) / TURKMEN ALEM (52) / BELINTERSAT (51.5) ... that is why the signal can be higher ... if the antenna would be positioned on only one satellite.

Yes, normally to receive AM6/Ku Fixed 2 beam with ab. 90cm dish in your place in 46dbW footprint zone(red point). Here I'm in 45dbW zone(yelow point).
