I don't think this-12576 V-transponder is active.At least in my area I can't find it,even though I have a strong signal on Vertical pol.

I used to get much better signals with my 88cm dish from Express AM22 / SESAT 2 when this was @ 53°east,
When Express-AM6 moved here only 3 transponders received & much weaker than AM22,
Hopefully a replacement craft will move here soon.

Rats, my jobs today included clearing a couple of branches from trees in the garden to improve this satellite.

The Octagon still refuses to move the motor to this position though.

12594V is blasting in strong as ever. At the moment....

For the time being, Fixed-2 beam transponders are not impacted.

Im getting 7 tps on a somewhat less than ideally placed offset lnb (1m dish aimed at 46E - offset lnb optimised for 52E)

12594V 27500 (strong)
12632V 1100 (fair)
12643V 1430 (intermittent lock, weak if it locks)
12658V 7500 (intermittent lock, weak when locked)
12667V 4240 (reasonable)
12671V 2277 (reasonable)
12675V 4240 (takes a while to lock, then reasonable)

Yes, but the Octagon prevents the motor from ever reaching the orbital slot. I will be playing with a similar HtoH indoors to see what is restricting movement before venturing upstairs.

Forgot to add, the Elanvision has no problem moving to the correct position.

And fixed.

From what I can gather it was a software limit within the motor memory that I was able to clear through the emitor's menus

Now receiving 53 loud and clear, one transponder only on the 1m orbital, though it is odd the limit was ignored by the other receiver.

If that fails then you may need to set up another receiver that will allow you to delete all limits then your dish will move to 53 east.

All done as per my last post, though having scanned further east, there is nothing else I can get on the 1m.

If the weather stays fine over the next few days I'll be able to resurrect the 2m on a decent pedestal, not looking forward to hoist more concrete blocks onto the roof though (if I can get them)

RSCC is quite transparent about the AM6 thermal issue.

27 March 2020:
After reconfiguring the payload of the Express-AM6 spacecraft (53 ° E) on March 25, 2020, Ka-band transponders were shut off.
The cutoff was due to the off-nominal performance of the satellite’s thermal control system liquid circuit, which made it impossible to further operate the satellite in full configuration.
Currently, RSCC is working together with the operator companies concerned to develop options for transferring users of the Ka-band VSAT networks to the other spacecraft

30 March 2020:
Working together with the partner companies, RSCC technical services have arranged the transfer of the central station satellite broadband access network in the Ka-band, originally operating from Express-AM6 satellite, to Express-AMU1 satellite (36 degrees E).
The service will be provided via 10 beams of the Express-AMU1 spacecraft. To ensure subscribers’ linkup, their antennas will need to be tuned to the new satellite.
RSCC expresses thanks to the industry community, including Eutelsat Networks, Ka-Internet, and Hughes Network System, for their support and assistance.

It looks like some of the C-band payload is being shifted over to 40E looking at the Flysat listings.

Just had a scan of Express AM6 at 53.0E in Ku-Band and not much to report.
The Fixed 2 beam frequencies are mainly coming in with good signal levels but with one or two quirky ones.

12679V, SR1665 is a bit hit and miss, locks on some scans but not others.
When it does lock, it has a decent amount of headroom over the theoretical 9.4dB required for a lock so I dont think it is the signal strength.
It might be a channel subject to jamming or some interference but without watching the channel for content that is just a guess.

There are also a couple of the Fixed 1 beam frequencies that I can "see" using a Dr HD F15 receiver but they need a few more dB to lock ( 10974H and 11161V).

I dragged my 1.2 metre dish out of storage earlier this week, fitted with a new Inverto Premium LNB, to try and see if I could pick up anything from Express AM6, after using an 80cm dish a couple of weeks back reported nothing. The result was that I could only bring in two signals from this sat with a Freesat V8 finder, 12594 V at a quality rating of just 37% and 11011 V at a more respectable 55% quality rating. Now the trees in the distance might have been a factor (I can't get anything more eastern than 53E, at its elevation at my location is just 8 degrees) though TurmenAlaem at 52E comes in fine, but it's definitely a major come down from the old Express AM44 that was previously at this location where some signals could be pulled in using a Sky Zone 2 dish!

I can see a transponder from the steerable beam. A lock is not possible at the moment
