At Sat4all , a member has some trouble to find a proper scalaring for his 2.0 m PF dish .
It has a f/D of 0.50 , so a flat scalar is not best solution , a TRF horn was even worse .
Now I made from a flat scalar a adjustable scalar/horn , hope it works better .

A little less analogue, and a lot more crap.

A dish of that focal distance and depth lends itself very well to a second reflector, a pity it is only 2m diameter and / or being used at C band since the shadow will virtually negate the improvement in efficiency.

I'm a bit late to the party but just re-discovered this thread
What were your final thoughts and results Wim from your adjustable Cband scalar - that would be something i'd like to try on my 2.2 Elite PF for this summer perhaps

My friend is also here on the board known as @Plepkeshenkie .
He answers , some little improvement at some satelliets , at others just less .
I think it depends which frequencie is used .
He's not using it anymore and willing to send it back to me .
Would you like to test it or just wanted to know the results ? its no use to me but it was fun to make it .
You can get it for free just postal charges (and custom tax ?)
Maybe together with the adjusting part of this

Yes, i'd love to give it a test on my 2.2mtr PF Wim - will make a nice little comparison project for when the warmer and less windy months come
