I claim no credit at all for this adaptation of "The Hairy Bikers' - Mums Know Best" Recipe for that Welsh favourite Bara Brith

All I did was halve all the quantities, apart from the beaten egg, shoved it in a 1lb Loaf Tin and cooked at 170C for 65 minutes.
Let it cool for ten minutes and then SWMBO and I tried a slice each without /Butter and another with Butter.
It tasted fabulous either way.
So, so simple to make - and relatively healthy, being devoid of marge/butter/lard in the mix.
I recommend it wholeheartedly.
