Thought about putting them on Ebay !

Marcopolo Polo Mints were passed out at the launch of BSB, along with the badges, Never managed to get a full set of the badges :(

the Badges are Now, Galaxy and Movie Channel, Then an Andrew Badge that went to Staff to start with, I think either BrightStar or Orian Satellite Badge and the last one I dont remember.

Marco Polo House is about to be knocked down right, QVC just left few weeks ago. Them Polos are going to outlast the building.

Love the Andrew Badge to be honest.

Knocked down? Only seems a short time ago that I passed it on the way into Victoria Station. Well I guess it's progress ;)

Why's it being knocked down? It thought it was quite modern?

In side the Marcopolo House, Just after B S B Vacated it I had to go in and take some 3.7m Andrew Split Dishes off the roof, and take themdown to Chilworth, we went in to the building also to have a look around, Reception and ground Floor was Wall to Wall marble, the bogs were very Plush.
Went into the studio area, and the Wiring was all done by Sony Broadcast down in Basingstoke, All wires were loomed, like 10 across then 10 deep, in Blocks, I have been & seen in so many TV studio's over the years, and Sony always work like that, It cost a fortune, no expense was spared.
No Wonder, they went to the wall, Also down at Chilworth, they had So much Kit, I saw a 50" Dmac CRT monitor, I was told it was £18k when it was brought, It was for exhibitions, it ended up in a skip about 1996.

The 3.7m taken down to Chilworth along with some TMW dishes were Scrapped about 5 years ago or more before Sky built the Sky Anytime, On demand building, in some google earth Pic's they can be seen next to an 11m on there backs with a 4.5m & 4.6m that were also scrapped, pity as I knew someone that would of paid good money for the months and the 4.6m reflector

I think my home town has a amazing amount of BSB plate dishes still in place, theres also the micro plate sized dishes with the offset LNB. One of the squarials has a Mitsubishi logo in the bottom corner which is a new one on me!

Used to see one down the estate and dad used to point it out when we drove past. "Look there it's a squarial"! Was a bit young to appreciate it.
The council must have removed it about 15 ago, wish I had it now.

Mind you, there was also an old Rover garage here that had an expensive CM dish (about 1.5m+) was there for years, step ladder height and the local bunch of chavs/idiots ripped it to bits for fun.
Was heart broken when I saw it. Supporting arms to the lnb were ripped off, the tx lnb looked like it had a baseball bat put to it.
They payed in the end, the cops caught them doing donuts in the car park and took their cars off them due to some phone calls hehe!

I could swear I just saw a BSB Squarial on the side of a house featured in an Asda Christmas advert. It was only on screen for a second or so and it was filmed at night, so it could have been another type of diamond shaped object but it did look like a Squarial.

Ah good one.

Seems an odd choice of house to film with an old thing like that stuck on it, not that it looks bad or even like anyone would know really except us freaks but still... Weird.
