In almost all images taken in low light before I've got a yellow reflection from the cat.

This time (and with the iPod) this particular pussy has a blue sheen.

Any idea ? Is it the flash, or a genetic change (like those opposable thumbs that are on the cards ?).

Jog on kitty

I would have thought it depends upon the type of autofocus lamp that emits either red or orange light when in low light situations. Does yours use UV?
Are you sure the UV kitchen lights were not switched on at the time?

No other lights on in the property at the time of taking the picture.

I will check the phone specifications for the flash type, this was the single - non red eye - setting.

No satellite stuff for the moment (aside from a 43cm minidish that was on the house already), Samsung SyncMaster T27B550 Smart TV & Monitor, and a few computers...

Diffraction, if the cat isn't looking right at you, then the reflection from their eyes will be a different colour, much like when you see light through a prism or similar at a certain angle, with my lot, I've seen red, green, yellow, blue & orange, all depending on what they were looking at when taking a pic of them, though these days I rarely use a flash, given the pictures tend to look worse when lit by an LED flash from a mobile phone camera...

Thanks for the clarification.

I didn't think there was anything special about the flash in the camera (iPod 6 touch), just the subject.
