Hi,

I've recently received a Channel Master 100 dish with a Cband LNB and I would like to ask what is a CM dish of that size able to catch on Ku/Cband (based in SW Essex)? As in sat range?

Thanks.

oh I see, due to the size, would it then be useless for cband? it's a CM 3040681-01

Yes, it's waaaay too small. 1.2m is the minimum you'd get anything from C band. That said, the above is a good dish for Ku.

Pick your satellite carefull & you should get some c-band signals - Ive had some success with 20E & 40E on a 1m dish

A little less analogue, and a lot more crap.

It's not too small, I have been catching a couple of C band transmissions on 40E with a similar sized - pfa - dish for a while, but only useful if you speak Russian.

It will require modification with a different feed arm clamp for the right LNB, and if you move too far from London the signal drops off like a stone going west (as Cap'n Jack knows), but you should be OK in Brixton.

You might also get an African channel from 37.5 W now I've swung it around.
