I'm after a cheap embedder or combiner to insert analogue audio to an HDMI video signal, the only products I've found are loads of money which I can't really justify for the type of project I'm putting together. Going the other way to extract audio from HDMI is easy, a plentiful supply of cheap products but I can't find anything to insert audio into the HDMI signal, any suggestions please?

Maybe something like this, and use a HDMI to DVI lead which will pass only the video, allowing you to add your analog audio to the box's HDMI output.

Thanks, hadn't seen that but with so many converters and changes in format I'm not sure I'll end up with good enough video quality at the end of it. I want to use an AHD camera into a TV which means converting the signal into HDMI which is bound to cause some loss of definition, converting that to DVI then back to HDMI for the TV will probably negate the advantage of the 5MP AHD camera. If only the TV was like our old Sony CRT where we could mix and match video and audio inputs!
