Best look soon since NEOWISE won't be visible for long.

These links should assist in finding it in the sky, best times tonight would appear to be around 10pm, and 4am from London.

Unfortunately the forecast down south is for cloud and rain. :(

Not a chance up here at 10.30. Its far far too light in the north atm.

Still 100% cloud cover here

According to this image, there are a few days left to see it.

Oooooh, clear skies, and yes, found it, though it is only about 8-10 degrees above the horizon.

Binoculars show Neowise up well , nucleus straight down with a wide curving tail, not really a double at all.

Parker has also spotted it.

I'll dust off the telescope on Sunday and see if I can get some photos.

Rats!

I cleaned the cobwebs off the reflector, assembled the stand upstairs and......

It's drizzling.

Not enough to affect the telescope, but the open hatch is into the master bedroom, above the satellite and tv cabinet(s).

Foiled again.

Seen it! Beautiful seeing conditions tonight up here, although it took until after 23.30 BST for it to be dark enough. Its an easy naked eye object but looks better through binocs.

As a bonus Ive had the birding scope on Jupiter & seen 3 of the moons (Io Europa & Callisto) a gorgeous view of Saturns rings and a selection of silvery noctilucent clouds :)

I'll have another go tomorrow with the telescope, though the weather reports suggest it is going to be patchy cloud down south for a while.

Somebody has been busy , from about three minutes onwards.

We have 2 days of almost complete cloud cover here, even the ants are staying in their nest.

Tonight's approximate position for others with clear skies.

Rats. Just getting dark and the northern horizon has clouded over.
