Try crossover cable if using straight cable. Try straight cable if using crossover cable.
The dreambox does not have autosensing.

If that does not help do the network modification as described in dreambox wiki

Try conecting an 8 or 4 port switch between the dreambox and the wndr3700 using a straight LAN cable.

The WNDR3700 has a built in switch - it's a router. The first thing to check is that the DM7020 and the wndr3700 are in the same network domain. Looking at the manual for the router the default i/p address appears to be 192.168.1.1. The usual default i/p for a Dreambox is 192.168.0.24. One or other of these devices probably has to have its i/p address redefined to bring both addresses into the same domain either 192.168.1.x or 192.168.0.x. A standard cat5 cable should be OK.
