Dreamboxedit is more a PC tool, designed to download your channel list, from your Enigma 2 receiver, as a backup, and to allow you to delete, re-name, edit channels, as well as making it easier to set up, and edit, bouquets, before trnsferring the newly edited channel list back to your receiver.
I can't think why you would want to load it onto your receiver.

Hi Mickha, I was advised to use dreamboxedit by a fellow member. The reason. being that when I reflashed my box a few months ago, I lost all my favourite channel lists. Thanks for your quick response.

Yes thats correct advice - you put DBE on your pc, connect it to the local ip address of your receiver & use the tools to set your channel lists up, back them up at intervals & transfer lists back to the box as required.

Dreamboxedit is very easy to set up, and use.
First download the latest dreamboxEdit, I think it's version 7.1.0.0, but you can always update, even if you download an earlier 6.1.2.0 version.
Next set up a new folder, on your PC desktop, and name it Settings
this is the default name, and location, for the folder.
Next start up dreamboxEdit, click on the Tools tab, at the top, and options.
Now enter your receivers IP address, in the Network Settingsa IP address, and click the test connection option.
When it's working click the Save option, bottom right.
Now go to File and Fast FTP download, it should now download, and store your receivers channels, and Bouquets, in the Settings folder.
Please post back if you have any problems, or need advice.

Hi Mickha, I tried what you suggested but have not been able to retrieve files (favourites) from my box. I have looked in Dreamboxedit log which lists only errors. Also, Dreamboxedit doesn't recognise my username and password but does recognise my IP address. Regards

The username is root, and password is left as it is, unless you've used telnet and put a password into your receiver.
Just start up dreamboxedit, go to Tools, Options, type in your receivers IP address, and click the test connection option. If it works click Save, and then go to File, Fast FTP Download.

You can try the DCC_E2 program, Dreambox Control Centre, which will locate all IP's, on your network, just hit the Suche option, under Dreambox, and the Suchen option, in the pop up screen.
