As your User Profile says "non atm" under My System, can you tell us a bit more about the system you now have:

eg Receiver Make/Model; Dish/LNB; Motorised, Fixed or multi-LNB?

As for ESPN, it's in PowerVu and there's no chance you could come by a means of decrypting it.

hello,
are you trying to say that a AFN power vu box when active can receive this ESPN channel?
i don't think so.
although the use the same system espn has to send the authoration key to activate it.
and i don't think they are going to do this.
anyone have anything different??

hello, yes they are all the same.
just like the nds system is the same. but a sky uk box and card will not open up sky italia.
and sky germany uses the same nds system as well.
each system sends out a authoritation key.on a new box it would take 3 to 20 min to activate.
so an active AFN box set up on this different stream would just show good quality, lock and strength and it would only work if someone at espn head end sould type in the power uv or cisco system box key.
after the box key was in the system by espn in the states then yes it would work.
but taking an active armed forces box and trying to receive this is realy not possible.
if someone has done this with an afn box or any other box please let me know and i will set one up here.

I've tried with two different D9234 Powervu decoders and it did not decode the ESPN package available on Telstar 12. I guess there is a specific autorization key to get it cleared.

For each package, (ESPN ou AFN Europe) users will need a specific authorization key to get access to these programs.

Regards.

With one or two exceptions (AFN 9E being one) Power Vu encryption is for professional use (eg links to cable head ends). Unless you can provide legitimate reasons to have the decoder matched up to the desired service you cant get the box registered, so forget watching ESPN via 15W.

Even for AFN getting your hands on an active decoder is difficult unless you are in the Yankee armed services.
