Anyone is free and entitled to their own opinions for sure.
I've been long enough here and I've seen your posts, so the introduction was not necessary.
I've also been long enough to almost any satellite forum, to have formed a personal opinion on how people buy their receivers and why. But since I can speak only for myself, I can only say what I would do.
Let's say I had a Viark, Geant or similar receiver of my own, which I never knew of its DXing capabilities, but knew very well of its decrypting capabilities, like everyone else who buys these kind of receivers.
Granted, if I didn't have anything else handy and wanted to show I receive a difficult TP for my location, I would go to the tuner menu and show that reception is possible.
What I wouldn't certainly do is screencap a decrypted channel (like for instance TF1 4K, RMC sport UHD and others) and post it as POC of the TP's reception. If I did, yes, I'd show that reception is possible, but inside I'd boast knowing I showed others what my receiver does that other receivers don't, and the real reason I bought it, which was certainly not its sensitive tuner.
But as I say, this is what I would personally do, I'm not inside the mind of anyone else!
And this is why I don't understand why you felt I was attacking you personally to go about and defend yourself of your presence and contribution.
Anyway if you felt this way, I'm sorry, that was not my intention. My comment went to the receiver and this is why I questioned the screencap's necessity with the specific content, plus this is how I would react to any post like that. Nothing to do with you!
Have fun with your receiver!

Thank you for your detailed reply. To clear up a point, in my previous post I referred to the fact that I had posted actual satellite related content rather than post about fixing kettles or how to paint a piece of wood. That was the angle from which part of my previous reply was made. It is just my personal opinion but I feel that the post count of satellite content seems to be waning, possibly a sign of the times and the lessening of interest in the hobby in the UK?

Moving back to some of your replies in this topic, out of interest, why have you not expressed this point of view before when members have posted screen captures of encypted PVu channels of commercial broadcasts taken from E2 receivers or other receiver types? For example, I have uploaded C-Band screen captures of ESPN and other broadcasts in Pvu from 40.5W using an Edision Nino Pro E2 receiver and other receiver types, as have other forum members.

It seems that you have raise only raised the point for pictures from a specific type of receiver?

Thank you for wishing me fun with the receiver, however, the fun may be somewhat limited as the receiver is for sale, do you wish to buy it?

Still a game of smoke and mirrors I see? Ok....
I'm pretty sure since the content you posted from this receiver was far from random, having it for sale is nothing close to a surprise. So, no worries finding a buyer, if you haven't already!

It seems that you are well versed in the game of smoke & mirrors yourself?

Several times in this topic you have alluded to my motive for posting pictures ranging from "shameless promotion" before moving on to "boasting as to the receivers capabilities" and finally "wishing to sell".

When I asked you why you had not expressed such interest in other encrypted pictures I have posted to the forum from other types of receiver you failed to reply. Was this a wish to not disclose an inherent hatred by the E2 cam emulator community towards the Goose Men from China and their geese that lay the golden eggs?

Well, it didn't occure to me that you actually want to sell your receiver, until you said so! I hope I didn't ruin it, for what it's worth, I think I helped tremendously!
Anyway, I said what I had to say, and perhaps next time I could post as well a decrypted Cosmote TV screencap, as POC that I receive the TP, since showing PowerVu is of the same significance as you allude yourself.
Now can we go back to topic?

Yes, please feel free to post a Cosmote screencap, I feel confident that you can find a 9.0 East topic to drop it into? I am sure your Cosmote screencap will generate interest and amusement in similar fashion to the couple of OSN pics I posted above.

Would you like me to post one for you, I have plenty? :D

Oh please do so! And I can assure you that I will handle the situation correctly this time.
All I'll have to do is ask you the two simple questions I should have asked from the start:
1. OMG what is this receiver?
2. OMG, how does it open Betacrypt among other things? :p

There is no need for me to reply to your questions as you are well aware of the functionality and method of operation of these receiver types. There are topics almost every day about them on the forum where you are a prominent member of the E2 community that despise The Goose Men and their receivers that lay the golden eggs.

The receiver has now been sold, thank you for generating interest in it and for keeping this topic present in the forum recents topics list which possibly helped me to achieve a sale.

Oh, any time, you're welcome! Call me back when you'll need to sell a next receiver, might save you some time from screencapping the chinese server's channels!

Thank you for your kind offer of assistance. As it turns out I dont mind allocating a few minutes to screen capturing a few pictures. It also helps generate discussion in satellite related topics and hopefully provides amusement value for members reading the topics.

OK knock it off with the games and being awkward. We are a sensible forum here - if anyone wants to try and be clever then you can find a good home at the DS forum.
