I have just splashed out a tenner on one of these, and one of the uses I have in mind is as a Bird Table monitor.

From the cctv cam I can see both feed stations and the bird bath.

Also put an IP cam on the main feed station.

Found a better one. They are actually higher resolution but reduced for upload.07-20151002160957-00.jpg

My thoughts exactly. As it's a Pi surely it's entirely dependant on what camera is chosen.

What pi, are you using? That's a cracking picture for an "IP" cam.
I'm not sure a B or B+ with The Pi Noir camera. It will do 3280x2464 but that's a 3.7M file.Pikrellcam works well for motion capture.

Strange you should say that William. Starlings in my garden have always been present, feeding and squabbling over the fatball holders to the exclusion of other birds, but never ever tried taking nuts from the peanut holders until this week. Now none of the usual, smaller customers get a look in.
Maybe the cold weather has changed their habit, but I've never seen Starlings go for the nut holders here in other years of similar cold periods.

Sadly, my Camear (sic) is coming from China, so it'll be a few days yet before I can join you lot in posting up these marvellous pics.

I bought a tracker CAM some while ago, must get it out and lashed to a tree near the feeders to see what comes up. :)
