@william-1 Many thx for the transponder info - for the first time in a couple of years I'm getting uninterrupted/dropout feeds & recordings from 10E, courtesy of the Gibby (Thx too @Channel Hopper for fitting & aligning it :D ) - but still learning how to replay recordings on the SX88+ ( very "clunky" compared with my SkyHD box :( ). OTOH, "impressed" by the low flying by the chopper pilots - wouldn't really want to be that low in that sort of terrain! And a question: why, do you think, are the slo-mo sequences in the feeds are noticeably darker than the normal speed video before and after? PS: this year I can record from the Giibby via either the SX88 in the "office" or the SX88+ in the lounge - courtesy of a Smart Priority Switch (SPS) in the feed from the dish, and then the Spaun A/B switch in the lounge which selects either the Gibby or the 16-1 DiSEqC switch for the fixed dishes, both down the garden. Thus I can watch the Dakar stuff whilst sitting comfortably in the lounge (and SWMBO is either having a nap or elsewhere)! :D
