Hi all. After a few years gathering dust i decided to get the old dish up.
80cm with a HH. black ultra lnb.
Amiko mini HD receiver.
Probably all outdated now but still fun.

OpenBox X5 on a 1 meter motorized dish.
And now a 10 foot "C" band dish.

Custom built PC

Deep in the Boonies in the central Sierra Nevada mountains of California.
If it all works, then it's not outdated......

FWIW, STAB motors have been a bit of a "sore point" on the forum over the last few months - hope your's works OK, but do a search for STAB-related issues for more info.
BTW: that dish and (especially) that motor are pretty heavy to mount on a "J" bracket - might be a good idea to add a further bar from the top of the bracket back to the wall to take some of the bending load off of the "J" bracket.

Agree, especially with a strong wind load. Otherwise all very good.

From memory it's not so much the motor itself, but a 'contract' clause deployed in the event a problem arises.

I have use Stab motors for the last 20 years any problems are easily solved by re-calculating the position also if you use more than one receiver on the same motor as I do use DiSEqC 1.3 USALS
(If you use DiSEqC 1.2 with several receivers on the same motor you can expect problems) you have been warned.:)

I have found that some people resort to DiSEqC 1.2 because they have not had the motor set up precisely, so they move the motor to achieve a better signal in 1.2.

Thanks for all the advice & comments . I'll give the motor a try for now to see if it works ok. I think I'll probably change the wall bracket for something stronger.
Also just had a nice find today while sorting crap out. Thought I'd sold it years ago
Think it's a 1.2m Channel master + motor & stand.

It's now been swallowed by Skyware Global , or is that Global Skyware, who have - some - of the tooling for the medium sized dishes.

Nice find!
I have similar to this stored away, currently trying to purchase a house I like with as much view of the arc as I can. There seems hardly any with south facing rear garden and much of an arc at my low price point. Sigh.
