How to get img form

Hi it has ben a very long time now since i installed an image on my dreambox 7000s yes very old model but stil working yet.
so i do not remember how to convert a image file like this one :OpenPli-beta-dm7000-20111113-232 or PB_VX-dm7000-20110123.tar to a working file on my dreambox.
please if there is a step by step answer or a tutorial så i can fix a new image on flashwizard it will be realy nice

Well this is very old now and I am not sure a new image will be of any use to you, it may actually brick your STB, why would you want to flash a new image if the old image still lets you watch TV?, things have moved on now but just in case I will post a link to a thread that contains a downloadable version of the 'idiot guide'
