Evening all,

Around Xmas time, I amended my profile settings so that I got automatic emails when someone had posted something new on a thread on which I had previously posted, and that worked fine for some time.

However whilst I not changed my settings since Xmas (and I have just checked to confirm that) those emails now seem to have totally ceased and I have to actually access those threads to see if there have been any updates.

Is anyone else having the same issue, and does anyone understand why this might have happened?

OK, just checked and I can't see anything (at all!) in there. OTOH, either the Blueyonder.co.uk or Virginmedia.com servers might have blocked them - but I don't think so as they are not as "effective" as they used to be in that respect as compared with when Virgin used a Google app to manage their email services!

OH!. ANOTHER one! definitely seems like it's a forum, not a "local", "issue"!
@Chris - seems like this is over to the Staff to try to sort out.

I know the forum sends me the first update to a thread and then stops sending me further messages unless it’s from someone I am following.

The only way I have got the emails to start again is to fully read that article from the notifications at the top, and not via reading the article via the forum front page.

At the moment all email notifications are coming through from this thread and the others I have clicked on email notifications.

Some threads I don’t have the emails switched on for just the notifications.

Try going to Watched Threads

And make sure you have Email (as shown in the images below), if not tick the box for each thread you want to receive emails for and select Enable Email Notification at the bottom of the page.

If I understand your post correctly, your Settings don't "require" the Sats UK server to email you about changes to any thread on which you have posted.
The point to which I was referring was/is that I was "told" around Xmas time because (IIRC) that told me how to adjust my setttings to get notification emails for every update to every thread to which I had contributed

The server sends me the email notifications to tell me that a thread I follow has been updated.

I only get the one email to tell me this, unless it’s from someone I follow then I get their message also emailed.

I would follow @chris advice in post #13

Thanks - now done that for the threads I would like to continue watching. However, as I said in Post #1, (IIRC) I didn't have to do that for several months from Xmas onwards as those "boxes" appeared to have been automatically "ticked"

Absolutely the same "ticks" in my Alert Preferences - but yours work automatically and mine don't seem to!

Even though I made that change this morning, still no Alerts coming through - and I have checked my Outlook Blocked Senders list, and the Spam and Junk folders, and they are totally empty of anything from this site.

I'm at a complete loss as to what to look into next!

Edited: PS - just checked in Virginmedia webmail to see if I could see anything there which could account for what I am (not!) seeing here, but the folders in there have identical contents to the Outlook folders on my PCs!
