Somewhere in England (possibly?)!
I have.
One thing I have found, and this may be a phone quirk and not a network problem, is that every so often the automatic network switching when roaming doesn't work and I have to manually select a network. Not all networks are signed up with Three and you may have to try a few.
Had a lot of similar problems with both my old phone (see below) and then on the Moto G3 and could not do that easily, nor could either of them receive SMS text messages for nearly a year (!) - even changed networks from Virgin to Giffgaff without solving it, but finally did solve it with some tweaks I worked out on the Giffgaff user forums (will post these a bit later after I retrieve them from that forum - I hope)

Edited: Could not find the relevant post on Giffgaff forums, but did locate the original source of the info on the xda-developers.com forum - here
It involves disabling & then re-enabling Airplane mode of all things o_O
My new phone is also a Moto G3. Very impressed by it I am. Was your previous Three experience just with a 3G phone?
Yes, it was with my old Huawei G300 "Ascend" which was 2G/3G

Ref THREE coverage - just done a check on the Ofcom predicted reception site, and still looks poor to unavailable (at least indoors) at our address - OTOH, just across the road or a few doors away in other directions it would be fine (What HAS THREE got against this address?)

Why? If your usage is a low as you say then you should seriously consider buying a phone outright (an iPhone if you must) and then get a PAYG SIM.
True, as Martin Lewis says if your working and have a good credit rating its cheaper to take out a new credit card or take one of your card providers up on a 0% balance transfer offer and stick the purchase of the phone on there and repay JUST this one purchase over the 0% period which will always be cheaper than the "rental" costs on a new phone over the same or indeed lesser period. Just after taking up Bank of Scotland on their credit card offer with 0.03% balance transfer for 21 months.

@Ghostleader and @PaulR thanks :) I had never thought about using a 0% offer to buy the phone:-doh

I have a couple of cards, so I will go and login and see what offers are available.

Just spoke to o2 and payed the last of my phone plan. Also got my PAC code so I can port my number.

Still can't decide if I want the plus model.

Better camera and longer battery life are the differences, you need to ask yourself if its worth the trade up in price Chris mate.

Says 13 & half hours web browsing and video playback loop time was 8 hrs before it shut off on the review site for the 7+. They did say it takes 4 hours to charge completely with the supplied charger (1amp) but the time is almost halved by using a 3rd party 2amp charger, typical Apple, I take it they offer a fast charger of their own at mere 35 quid or the like lol.

My phone takes 5 hrs to charge, but it has 4800mAh battery with its 1Amp charger, never tried the missus 2 Amp charger in case I had a Note 7 moment.

I have finally done it, bought an iPhone 7 plus 32gb.

I put down £210 and it's £27 a month, for unlimited texts and calls and 3gb of 4G data.

I will use Spotify a bit more out and about.

Still with o2, had to use a third party to find the phone cheaper, just ported my old number, that takes upto 24 hours.

And as a bonus o2 are also upgrading the masts in my area, the upgrade work will take all week.

Just seen the upgrade option in the my o2 app, it says I can upgrade for £405.

IMG_1080.PNG

Does that mean then if I pay the £405 on top of the £210 I paid for the phone I would get the new phone for £615?

If that's the case then this seems a very cheap option to buy the phone.

Apple direct want £719 for the plus, or am I missing something???

How many months line rental do you have still to run on O2 refresh? Seeing I'm a cynical b@stard I'm reading it as the quoted price minus the remaining line rental charges all be at the 25% discount.

Now on a standard tariff so it's supposed to be 24 months at £27.00.

I can't work the maths out, as £405 to buy out the contract seems cheap. Plus that would make the phone only £615 for the plus.

I can't see how it works out.

Well Chris 24 months at £27 a month is £648 over the contract term so that plus the "phone" price is plenty for the sods.

I think it is £405 on top of what you have paid already, I know your saying its cheaper than Apple directs price but the network is still getting the income off you the individual over the next 24 months so their still making money.
