Yes but you cannot manually enter a satellite or certain codes because its E2, it's also very expensive as well :(
For E2 stuff I'm very happy with my Mutant HD51, I didn't think the DM 900 series was worth the extra money.

It is true that the dreambox is expensive, but the last DM920 UHD could be considered by those who want to have a receiver that knows everything. It's just as true that he is not thought of for a dxers, but the Silab tuner 2166D with which one of the 920 models is endowed, can give the same performance at the reception as other tuners mentioned at least on this topic,like:blindscan,s2x extension,mis/pls,low symbol rates, etc.
Here are some low symbol rates that the DM920 tuner has locked and memorized:
10.0E-12588 V,256,1/2;12609 V,256,1/2,12675 V,256,1/2
30.0W-11695 V,185,3/4,
23.5E-12640 V,477,1/2;12642 V,557,3/4;12646 V,280,7/8,
12.5W-12602 V,256,1/2,
42.0E-11555 H,405,5/6;11556 H,395,5/6;11557 H,410,5/6;11558 H,400,5/6,
16.0E-11070 H,334,1/2,11071 H,334,1/2,
11.0W-12621 V,256,1/2,etc,etc
DM920 UHD can also lock a difficult pls transponder,such as 11496 H, 7884,8/9,8PSK and also 11491 V,7522,8/9,8PSK:

Sorry but DM900 is a pile of steaming doodah. No adjustable GUI borders, slow remote and very limited number of images. DreamOS is not worth its name.

Yeah, it does blind scan but that's about the only thing going for it.

Finding low symbol rate radio transponders is all very well but the serious Feed Hunter requires a reliable receiver for TV SNG Feeds I only scan for TV as I have no interest in radio from this spectrum,

I will stick with my current set up as it finds more productive TV Feeds than the rest,

I can scan most satellites with the aid of the Spectrum Analyser in less time than any other satellite receiver with the TM5502HD average time is 5 to 10 minutes,

If I want radio there are tens of thousands via the Internet,

From Satellite I just want all the SNG TV feeds that I can get.

But here's not about listening to radio or watching TV channels, but what this tuner can do,if it meets our expectations as enthusiasts. If I'm not mistaken, that's all that matters for the majority of users on this forum.
I have already said that although I have many satellite receivers,I have never used it since I have dvbs cards.None of these are as efficient as dvbs cards from all points of view! That's why I was surprised to find on this receiver capabilities that few devices have. For this reason I presented and not to compete with other receivers.
In fact, the purpose of the dreambox was from the beginning other than for difficult receptions. The DM920 4K,as well as the other high-performance receivers equipped with the new reception technologies, appeared on the market after dvbs cards, not before!
Of course,we each have preferences, but my intention is more informative and less marketing. That's all.

Can you manually add new Satellites with this Dream OS? (without having to use a computer)

Nope. It's still E2, just a different base (not OE-A).

Yes,with the help of plugin or addons you can edit the list of satellites. Now depends on the image installed. Some of these are best, which are free-bug,others are less stable when certain plugins are used.As it is known, each image has some strong points, others less. But no matter what image you use,DM920 has the advantage of having powerful resources and allowing for various adaptations.
From our point of view,of the enthusiasts,we can choose the image that gives us more reception possibilities.Because not all images offer the possibility to lock the signal manually for low symbol rate. But for this,we have the possibility of installing the Berry Allen plugin, which helps us install the desired images, then use it that meets our expectations, either at the reception or on the media.
But there are so many things to say about DM920,more pros, than cons, that is not the case to insist now. For what we're interested in,there are so many plugins or addons for the dreambox which help the user to customize the receiver as desired.

In principle I don't recommend any receiver to the detriment of another, for the simple reason that I don't pay for it.That's on the one hand, and on the other hand I do not know what are the expectations of the person who wants a receiver.
And,yet, make a recommendation,do not buy fbc twin tuner 45308x if you are enthusiastic.I tried it and I was very disappointed on the reception side, for which I changed it with the silab tuner silab(2166D).
I can't give you a pertinent answer about hispasat because I haven't had time to check it out on the side of the pixilations.I have to admit that I'm less interested in this aspect, although I admit it is very important to most users, because I don't watch much tv programs.

I've said it before, but when you see that such a tuner sees the signal but does not scan it,it's a shame that the manufacturer does not handle the receiver's driver as to be capable of higher performance!?!
The DM920 Silab tuner 2166D sees the lowest symbol rate but only that-12.5W_12717 V,145,2/3 :):(

See what version of demodulator has Mutant HD51: 2166-B22 or and2166-D60 ?Particle B or D makes the difference between the two demod.
