I have a motorised dish and an Echostar 808 2ci. It was playing up yesterday so i tried to fiddle with the Cable at the back of the receiver while it was still switched on and consequently lost all signals. Could it be possible that the receiver is faulty or a problem with the dish. I can move the dish using the receiver + RC but can't find any signal!
Please HELPPPPPPP.......

Hmmmm ....I'm not saying it's the worst scenario but........that's one way to blow your LNB.

Hmmmmmmmmm ... longer Hm means I'm more thoughtful. :D

Strange situation, if you had shorted out the connection, the motor wouldn't work, so assuming that a healthy voltage is going up the cable, you might try resetting the DiseqC motor to 0.

It has been known for LNBs that are connected the other side of a DiseqC motor to blow, the older Invacom models were prone to it.
