It looks like you have several dish setting problems

How to set up a dish for maximum signals >>
1/ Pole must be dead vertical in 360 degrees ( use a spirit level ),
2/ Dish mounted dead central on the motor spigot,
3/ Motor set at the correct Elevation for your location for maximum signal at your reference satellite,
4/ Motor at zero on the scale when aimed at your reference satellite,
5/ Dish Declination set for maximum signal at your reference satellite,
6/ Lnb set in the correct position for max signal(Move Lnb fully forward & Back while viewing a meter for max signals)
7/ Site dish so that you have an unobstructed view of the Satellite Arc,
8/ Tighten all bolts when you have achieved maximum signal on all satellites in your Satellite Arc.

Note:-
A normal motorised dish installation is very straight forward for receiving the major satellites 52 east,42 east,39 east,28.2 east,19.2 east,13 east 5 east 1 west 5 west & 30 west,
The feed satellites are much weaker 16E,10E,7E ect so the dish/motor set up is more critical than a normal installation & takes a lot longer to achieve good signals on these.

Apologies to @william-1 but No 7 should be No 1! (not that I think that that is an issue in this case).

9) (perhaps further up the list) Some equipment is not able to perform a full reset of a good DiSEqC motor

Hey Lads!

I have done the reset procedure on the motor and got some, but not all satellites back. 10, 16, and a good few other east sats don't seem to be there and the dish moves back to west position. I send it to find them and nothing appears even though the channels are stored at those positions. Okay! What now? They were all there two days ago! Dish has not slipped!

Do you have another receiver with DiSEqC software ?

I do. But I am at the stage of giving up! I cannot see how another receiver with the Diseqc software will help. The only satellites I get to the east is now 13, 19, 7, 4.9 and that's it. Tried to search for sats to the west and the dish went east!! I GIVE IN!! I do get Thor though. I have the new motor coming so I think I will have more success with that. A dish motor that moves east when you want west and vice versa has to be knackered!

I can sympathise, but just one small question if you are using the SX88: in the set-up menus where the list of satellites is, did you by any chance, edit the sat positions and accidently change those which should have a "W" against the "degrees" settings to having an "E" instead?

I mention this because I've done that by accident myself with the SX88, and also with some other Rxs!:-doh

Just to mention that I have had a Stab motor with problems. My Technomate sat receiver has a bigger menu in the reset choices than the Octagon SX88 has. Through reading this thread I am going to send the dish to centre first, then do the reset. :)

As per Mooncamm, different receivers have different positioning ( and reset) protocol.

The Emitor Satlook I use in the field appears to have the best clear down software, I have yet to find a DiSEqC motor that it cannot factory reset.

Well, I have some satellites back...again! But I still can't get 16e, 21.5, 23.5, 26, but can 28 and nothing after that! Bizarre! The dish motor is still doing stupid things like coming back west when I want to go to a position east. I think the motor is sticking sometimes as well. What do I do now guys? Over to you! This is stressing me out and having had a few heart problems since 2016, this is not helping at all. When the motor arrives I can still do the job, but it's going to be more difficult than a few years ago. Just to say that I cannot get any western satellites apart from Thor and a couple of others as my house blocks the path.

Mmm. Problems like this make me think of problems with a STAB HH100, here:
Burnt resistor, R20.

Other HH100 motors had also a burnt R20, and irrepairable problems further on the board.
See here: STAB HH100 onderdeeltje doorgebrand

I don' t know if the HH90 has a similar circuit board, but in the first link it was enough to replace the R20.

But I don't remember everything, and haven't read the topics all over again. Thought I'd just mention it.

Im not sure how old Tony's TM actuator is, a photo of the sticker on the casing might confirm if it is as dodgy as TJs

My TM 2600 is 7 years old. I am going to put the meter on it to see what's going on.

I have done some checks but it turns out that a lot of frequencies in my Setsat meter have changed. Still was not getting anything at 16e even with the old Inverto Black on it. That was direct to the meter not through the motor and just using the box power to drive the dish manually. Anyone programmed a Setsat meter before please and how do I do it. A lot of satellite names have also changed!

Found the instructions for the meter and reprogrammed some of the satellites on there as they were outdated. I fully intend to find what the problem is and get it sorted!!! For now, I thank all that left comments! CHEERS GUYS!!:-respekt:-respekt
