I have loaded the "Roy Image mega BKP QBOX HD version 1.0.16.", whiuch is basically the official stone distribution that Roy has pimped up a bit.
It includes a shitload of plugins, but the nice thing is that it has an emu manager with a lot of cams, and they are working a treat.

The image is stable, box does not crash a lot, time shift, cams, CS, all working. MGCam will work those Bulsats, the radar works the SRG and Oscam will do your home sharing without a problem.

At the moment there is not much coming from Duolabs, but the Qboxhd works as it is, maybe needs a few more i mprovements but I am really satisfied now with it. Took a long time, but was worth he wait...

Yes, that is correct, it says "which is basically the official stone distribution that Roy has pimped up a bit".

Usually you can take an original image and load the cams and the plugins yourself from some of the servers. The problem is that some cams such as the Mgcamd are not easily available, I did not manage to find it.

I have used Roys images quite a lot, he does a good job. Some people claim that they have problems using an image built by someone else, but I never had problems with it.

Hi
Just joined the forum.
Having problems with my QboxHD mini; fast forward and rewind ( above x8) is jerky and freezes now and then.
Pause doesnt work either. Just carries on but the pause icon is bizarely displayed on the TV.
Could it be the image?
Whats your setup?

I don't have the Mini, just the normal HD, so not exactly the same. My image does not have forwarding speeds higher than 8, but pause etc works ok. Occasionally the thing freezes when I am doing some complicated stuff, but usually this happens if the box has been running a long time.

Also, I am using a rather old computer hard drive connected to the USB with an adapter, I am pretty sure this causes some problems.

Have you got the latest image on?

Do you mean the latest version of the image I'm using? In which case - "yes".
There appear to be many images available - I guess I will need to try them all.
Only thing preventing me from diving in, is that I've been learning this hobby for about two months now, made lots of customisations (and mistakes); got a almost-working config (plugins and addons) and dont want to loose it.

Well, I really like playing with this stuff, and I don't mind if it goes bad because whenever I get a good working image I do a backup of it - so when everything goes tits up I quickly restore it. I don't remember from where I got it from, could be that this is from the manufacturer. In any case, all credit to the maker of this tool.

1) So, read the instructions, and do a backup of your box.

2) Also, if you got oscam working, you might want to make a copy of the file where you put in your c lines.

3) I always make a backup of my setttings (stations) using the dreamboxedit program.

Regarding the image, where did you get it, was it a standard Duolabs image or was it one of the backups that someone did like Roy image or W@rcraft?
