You did not mention a dent before.

I could be wrong but the manufacturers logo on the instruction manual was last used about ten years ago.

I mentioned that it was damaged but did not go in details
Gibertini replied
Arm length is 67 cm on se 1 meter
So that is the right arm I received
I returned it on the basis it is damaged/Used kit
Now have to find another supplier to buy one.
very disappointed ☹️

Why not get HMSat to send a replacement reflector (FOC of course). They would be the ones taking up any refund from the courier on the first delivery

Turkmenistan Sport is fta and an easy catch on a zone 2 sky dish even - provided you have line of sight, it's pretty low in the sky.

Scour ebay & gumtree, see if there's anything local. At least you'll be able to see the dish first and not be at the mercy of a courier.

It's HD. Easy catch means the signal is strong, low in the sky means the satellite is closer to the horizon & therefore more likely to be houses or trees in the way. Mounting the dish higher will give you a better chance. Where I live for 52e, the dish needs to 4x further away than the obstacle is high. So if a house in the way is 10m tall, the dish needs to be 40m away.

Somewhere in England (possibly?)!

Strong signal here in W.London on an off-set LNB on a cheap "no name" 80cm dish (with camo netting on it) centred on 46E - it's mounted about 1.5m above ground, and the line-of-sight to 52E just clears the pitched edge of the roof on a house about 25m away! :)

If the markings on the box are to be believed, this motor is DiSEqC 1.2, but may not be USALS ("DiSEqC 1.3"), compatible - as such it must be a very old motor with a "debateable" history, and so probably not advisable!

FWIW, brand new decent-quality USALS motors only cost between about £40-£65, with some sort of warranttee.

Agreed as almost all are both - but very old ones may not be, and it's not clear how old this one is. Can you give a link to where you found it?

PS: IIRC the Fortec Star brand, as such, disappeared from sale many years ago in respect of receivers, and I suspect that the same was true of the other types of equipment sold under that brand name. That's just one of the things that makes me suspect that this is a very old motor!

I have one of those - it's just another Moteck SG2100 clone.
@Lazarus

Thanks - I guessed it would be something like that.

So, do you know if there is any obvious marking on the motor (or the box if you still have it - which I doubt!) that clearly indicates USALS/DiSEqC 1.3 compatibilty (whereas the pic of the box above indicates DiSEqC 1.2 compatibility, but apparently nothing about USALS)?
