All is not lost yet - the spacecrafts resets its antennas every few months to realign them with Earth. The next one is due in October

They've now had a ping from Voyager 2, so there's hope that they'll get it back online before October.

OpenBox X5 on a 1 meter motorized dish.
And now a 10 foot "C" band dish.

Deep in the Boonies in the central Sierra Nevada mountains of California.
It might have been pick up by the GGC for recycling. (GGC, the Galactic Garbage Company of Sirius Prime)

I don't remember if we put a return label on it, it may take some time for them to make up a record player for that gold record on it's side.
