Prefect. Go for it Steve. Channel names are hardcoded strings in receiver firmware which are selectable by giving it a channel ID in HackTV.

Excellent, here you go. I've also included the resources directory to make sure that it's all together.

@steeviebops is this something that can be added to the GUI to select the channel ID?

I don't think there's a command to expose the channel ID, it's not documented anyway. All my GUI does is to create the command syntax that is fed to hacktv so if there's no command in hacktv to send the channel ID, I can't add it. There's a few functions in hacktv that can only be enabled by editing the code at present. I've played with it a little but not much.

@Captain Jack any idea if this would be possible?

You'd need to edit mac.c file - line 939 if you're using my fork.

Change value 0x00B5 to one of the below. This should reflect the channels names being displayed.

0x00B1 = NOW
0x00B2 = GALAXY
0x00B3 = THE SPORTS CHANNEL
0x00B4 = THE POWER STATION
0x00B5 = THE MOVIE CHANNEL

Now I understand the onscreen message of " 0B5 signal present " in the installation menu.
Thanks

We finally got Eurocrypt going on HackTV. If anyone wants to dust off their old "multimac" cards and give them a try, let me know. I want to see if it works on equipment other than mine before I release it in the wild!

Hi Captain Jack,

What's different regarding this new Eurocrypt feature vs previously existing HackTV MAC single-cut / double-cut features?

Thanks!

The new feature requires a card to decode :) I'll post some videos later.

Would visiopass card work, for example?

No idea - what channels did it used to decrypt? I'll probably configure it to work with FilmNet and Viasat cards (initially anyway).

Visiopass was dedicated to French D2MAC channels mostly sent over cable in the early 90s.

Probably not then. I have never seen any codes or pirate cards for it.

@homercartman do you still have a Phoenix interface? Wouldn't mind grabbing some data from the Visiopass card and potentially get it working.

I think I have a phoenix, yes. I'd be happy to help.

If you are coming over here (as planned), I know there is one in the box of programmer bits.

I will be at some point - just not sure when at this stage.

I've pushed the latest version of HackTV to my fork. New features are experimental subtitling and Eurocrypt in controlled access mode (i.e. need a card).
