Because it's a nice day and "having nothing to do" before we go out to Christmas Lunch at a local pub (The Malt Shovel in Cowley - quite good!), I thought I take some photos of the dish setups down the garden:

Most of them are "my own work" - but Channel Hopper "did the business" with the Gibby and the TD110 on their Dark Motors as they are "just a little too heavy" for me to deal with nowadays.

PS: had to fit braces to the feedarms on most of them or else they get badly "bashed around" by anyone walking down the path!

Unfortunately, we have "somewhat onerous" planning regs (especially in towns & cities) concerning sat dishes in the UK :(- some of mine "might just possibly" not be "in compliance" (and then there's also the Zone 2 on the conservatory roof for Sky/Astra 2) :-rofl2

BTW: FYI, for anyone interested, the "homemade" braces for the dish feedarms (and some of the ones that brace the edges of the dishes to the, neighbours' :-ohmy fence behind) are various cheap types/lengths of steel constructon bars from B&Q, plus car exhaust clamps onto the feedarms.

I look at the space where your antennas are placed( instead of plants growing from those branches, growing antennas), and I seem to see (of course, I exaggerate) how a passion is born that grows with each passing year. What at the beginning could be just a secondary fact, in a search phase, or out of curiosity, that could be placed in a storage space, out of sight of visitors; once the antennas are installed, that space seems to come to life.
And seeing those antennas behind a wall, I understand even better what private versus public space means in England. And because there are regulations in place, I think of the frustrations of a local enthusiast who wants to install a high visibility antenna on the arch but has to install it according to regulations imposed by the authorities.
You were no longer interested in watching many TV programs when you installed your first antenna or after the second one. Still, with time you discovered that both the antennas and that space no longer met your expectations. As your passion and dedication grow, that space becomes more and more vital. This proves, if needed, that passion has no boundaries, even if you understand it is physically impossible.
If the authorities seek to restrict this boundary, at least the one you live with should understand you and, if not encourage you, at least tolerate this passion.
Of course, the above thoughts don't have to correspond to what you think. Still, I felt encouraged by your picture of your antennas in the garden (it doesn't look like that, it looks more like a warehouse) to see in the mirror what happened to me when I installed my antenna on my balcony.
If you like, it is the irony of life that we discover late in life the discrepancy between what we want to achieve and the means at our disposal.
My apologies for making you read such a long and off-topic text.

FWIW, those photos were taken in mid-Winter and that explains the lack of plants at the time - now they are pretty much "disguised" by jasmine and so on. Oh, BTW, there's now also a Z1 Sky dish & LNB (both 1998 vintage!) below the 16E dish, for Hotbird.
