I was about to reset up my corotor this afternoon using my Satlook FTA and find there is zero power coming out of the F connector on the unit . This unit has been fitted with a new battery and the display looks fine but there is NO Power coming out of the F connector on the unit .

I fully understand this unit has is short-circuit protected is there any thing inside the unit that needs resetting ? I have looked for a schematic but there is nothing on the internet except the manual . Any thoughts from any one since this unit is 25 years old it maybe very hard even to find a schematic .

So you turn the unit on and you can see this in the display so there is power . Am I missing some thing as far as I remember you connect the LNB to the sat look and it should show you a signal but without power from the sat look there is nothing .

A little less analogue, and a lot more crap.

Slave the analyser from the receiver loophrough, or power up the LNB via a splitter with DC power pass back to the receiver.

Job done

Thanks Trust for the picture this afternoon I will open it up again , Yes this was bought in 2007 at £449 as still got the receipt .I wonder which model you have does it look like this as still got the picture from when I changed the battery out . When you turn the unit on it looks like this .

I did email Emitor this morning regarding a UK service agent as I seem to remember they used to have a uk service place down in the south west some where near Exeter but the main thing is its AGE . So like I said repair or replace as for spares there are many old second hand non working satlook on Ebay . Your picture of the PCB did you unscrew the whole bottom board from the case .

Hi CH yes I did try to do that with my DC blocker that I have used for the others but there is still no signal if all else fails I will have to use the Maspro but that will need a load of D cells .

This satlook is much older i think , its in a white housing with the mainboard at the upperside .
It came to me with very poor picture on the CRT screen , took that out with the high voltage parts aswell .
Made a video out connector and moved the led bar display to the same side as the control buttons .
I use it in my shack with picture on a second monitor together with picture from a camera on the feedarm from my CM 1.8 , pointed to the lnb revolver ,
and a picture of a camera pointed to the AZ scale on my Jaeger SMR1224 H2H rotor .
The fourth part of the screen shows the menu of the revolver controller , a Maxplus 2100 .

I see a kind of F splitter in your satlook , do you messure power on the F conn strait from the tuner module .
The first pin from the F conn side at that tuner module is connected to the lnb power source , so check if there is 13 or 18 v

Seems I found the right topic this time , Not sure on the age of your Satlook but mine was bought in 2007 I still have the original receipt here . Well the good news is I had the lid off and it was what I thought it was the link cable from the bulkhead connect had gone OC this is why No Power or signal was getting onto the display . So with a bit of luck next week I should be able to re-install the corotor and put this project to bed .
