Dmyco v8 meter firmware

Does anyone have more up to date firmware for a Dmyco V8 meter? (Mine is Dec 2017)

The Dmyco website is long defunct & GTMedia firmware wont go on despite it being the same size is the original bin.


Ive messaged their facebook page so lets see if anything useful comes out of it.

The iBravebox V8 version should go in without trouble, last update was 2018.

How did you upgrade. Usb format? and name file?

Ijust copied the ibravebox flash - (the top one on that list) onto a usb stick and used the upgrade in Tools . No changes made to the flash name or anything. If your meter is set up with all your transmponders just do the main firmware upgrade, not the full one or it will wipe all your setup completely, and back up your data before you start just in case

Sadly still cant force it down to 10490 for the amateur stuff on Es'hail 1

It wont activate unless you have the right file. The iBravebox one worked for me. The GT one I tried earlier gave the greyed out no upgrade possible. I used the iBravebox 4/12/2018 on on the site linked above on my Dymeco.

yes if i turn off/on with menu pushed appear upgrade usb but not begin to upgrade maybe is the file name.

Here working too, but my V8 appear FreeSat, not Dmyco. Using Gt-Media firmware, after update, dish setup is blocked, only accept Dmyco firmware and now, this ibravebox.

Freesat & GTMedia appears to be the same company - possibly forced to rebrand due to the Freesat tv service in the UK.

I will have to check later, but from memory the software version does not change between updates, only the date stamp. The two offered with the iBravebox site releases are from 2018.

Are you unzipping the files into the root folder of the USB stick ?

If I update by USB using GT-Media official, menu installation is blocked.... only accept Dmyco firmware and now, this iBravebox.

FWIW, no Freesat V8's on Amazon - but this "KKmoon" unit appears to be the same as the IbraveBox and is branded as such
