@Lazarus

Thanks - I guessed it would be something like that.

So, do you know if there is any obvious marking on the motor (or the box if you still have it - which I doubt!) that clearly indicates USALS/DiSEqC 1.3 compatibilty (whereas the pic of the box above indicates DiSEqC 1.2 compatibility, but apparently nothing about USALS)?

Mine is years old and drives my TD110 via USALS.

But I agree that the markings on that box seem to omit 1.3

Best not to assume otherwise.

Which cable is sufficient to run 12 meter
RG6 , WF100 or PF100

Have you checked the specification of each?

Do you have the right connectors for the cable you finally plum for ?

Somewhere in England (possibly?)!
IMHO: not a lot of difference in "performance" (signal loss) over that length, but differences in construction materials and "useability" in terms of flexibility/ease of bending, ease of fitting connectors and likely longterm reliability - personally, from experience and given a choice, I would choose WEBRO WF100 on all three counts. You'll probably only install the cable once (OTOH, we all say that but usually end up changing, extending or replacing cables sooner than "intended"!) and so the difference in cost will be marginal (WF100 is likely to be somewhat more expensive than the other two).

Yes checked the specifications all claim it’s out of the world
Will buy connectors with cable

Buy a few extra "F" connectors, and maybe several "back-to-back" F-connector couplers - you'll almost certainly need them sooner than you think :).

You'll also need a couple of 11mm open-ended spanners (and maybe a 7/16th AF one as well as the dimensions of connectors and couplers vary "somewhat" - a pair of pliers is often also useful!), and coaxial cable stripper tool (although, personally, I generally use a small and very sharp kraft knife) to cut back the cable sheath and the inner main solid insulator.

In past I only used utility knife to strip cable and hand tight screw in F connectors never used compression connectors but they can easily attached to the Cable without needing any special tool only you need a player and coupler.
Yes better to order full set of connectors maybe couple of dozen

Google, or other internet search engines, can help, with a lot of your questions. As can the various forum guides.
Most Satellites have different beams, these are the footprints the satellites are aimed at. The two images, you've posted, seem to be for different beams, the first being Eutelsat 7B, Europe A, the second being Eutelsat 7B Europe B.

If you look on Lyngsat, on the left hand side, you will see links, to these satellite footprints, for Eutelsat 7B I can see 4 options, Europe A, Europe B, Africa, and Europe C:
Code:
https://www.lyngsat.com/Eutelsat-7B.html

Even Astra 2, 28.2E, the home of Sky UK, has several satellite footprints, including UK, which is a spot beam, more tightly centred on the UK, Europe Ku, which is more available to the rest of Europe, and West Africa.

Please do a little research, or this thread will go on forever.

I use one of these Stanley Folding Pocket Knives (with a 5901 blade) because it's a lot smaller and much easier to manipulate than a normal "Stanley Knife".

As for the pliers: correctly-sized F-connectors are a very tight fit on WF100, and I usually find that I need the pliers to get a sufficiently tight grip on the connector to be able to screw it fully onto the cable (WF100 has a solid insulator around the centre conductor that does'nt compress slightly like that in air-spaced cables does)

PS: I do have to say that I agree with @Mickha's comment about doing some more research of your own on what can be received from the various sats .

Please start a new thread when you're setting up your dish, as any problems, or questions, might get lost.
There are a number of threads, regarding setting up your dish, and problems, that might help, but always stick to the basics
Ensure your pole is secure, to hold your dish/motor, and plumb, as this first step is essential.
When using USALS set everything to 0, motor, dish and LNB.
Enter the correct Latitude, & Longitude, into your receiver, remember negative Longitude readings are entered as West, positive are East.
Use your receiver to send your dish to a suitable satellite.
Then physically align your dish, to get the strongest signal quality possible, from that satellite.

Dish arrived in 3 days after order built quality is impressive
But
It was damaged what a nightmare
Also measured the arm it is about 70 cm
Oh dear, hm-sat at it again. Not been online for a while so ive missed alot from this thread. The arm on the SE looks different design to XP and not sure the XP arm will even fit. Seems this supplier has no quality assurance when they sell Gibertini products? Oh well at least you knew now and not 3 months later.

According to Gibertini arm length it is 67 cm & it was 67 cm this is the only positive for HM-SAT though SE arm will not fit to XP.
but its looks like returned/used as got scratches at the fittings Plus dented and damaged in the way
they packed it in a big box and dish was in another box inside
I think the big problem was a heavy arm and clump keep hitting the dish when it got moved every time in the way.
Dish was even damaged from the point where the box was undamaged (suspicious)
