Shocking, given how stretched the emergency services are you'd think things like that would be a priority, but then again, wouldn't be making them as much money no doubt.
Mate it's a good picture just now but I honestly remember HD looking as good (i.e. no better) but as your saying there, it will get watered down to feck as time goes on if it gets more mainstream. Netflix 4K can be really good looking, I watched Polar about a month ago, had an excellent showing...
Reuse of the machine, sometimes the value of the RAM and CPU alone make it a worth while venture, just slap in a £20 Kingston SSD for a boot drive and of you go.
Mate, 65 inch Hisense 4K HDR (Not enough nits so the HDR bit is bs to be honest) set here and it just reminds me of the early days of HD, i.e. before the data rates came down and they compressed the shit out of the channels ect (See $ly HD for reference point) looks good but, True HD good.
"Old" Dells & HPs can be a really good buy for the value of the parts alone. In saying that the prices of the Optiplex models by Dell have creeped up a lot no doubt due to these bloody YouTubers:-doh
I have genuine concerns about the long term health effects of this s#*t as it's been pushed out with very little knowledge, plus yip Captain Jack & 2cvbloke are spot on, 4G was meant to a solution to non "cabled" areas ect. It's faster here for me (40mb down 10 up) than my fibre optic is.
Windows 10 is getting on my proverbials already, won't recognise my brand new 240Gig SSD (£32 in the AliExpress brands sale promo) shows up in the Dell BIOS, toggle on the sata location, restart, same s#it, f*ck you windows!!
