Hello all,
I would like please a recommendation for a combo receiver (by which I mean one with both a satellite and a terrestrial tuner).
Ideally it should have the following features:
*DVB-S2 & DVB-T2 tuners
*access to both the freev1ew and free$sat EPGs (is there some legal or technical...
Hello all,
Using a Dion UK freeview box (from Tesc0) I can get all the Saorview channels at 80-90% strength. I get the sound and the Saorview EPG, but with a completely black screen instead of a picture.
Tried swapping it for another idential Dion freeview box, and get exactly the same...
Good news! The following codes (found after much messing about) do work: 0606 , 0039 , 0165 , 0386. They won't turn on the tv from standby, or work the analogue text, but they change channel and adjust volume perfectly, and that is enough for me :-)
Sadly my crt tv finally gave up (after 20 years), so I bought a new Sharp LC-26SH7E. I can't get the $ky remote to work it at all. I've tried using a Rev.4 $ky remote, then a Rev.8 $ky remote (and they both have new batteries, and they both work the digib0x with no problem). I've tried the...

(which comes on its own Intel motherboard)
1 x stick of 2GB DDR2 RAM
(use at least 533MHz, I recommend Kingston...
Finally (!) going to sort out my terrestrial analogue tv picture.
I hope to use sat cable (as I have some to hand), but I know f-plugs won't go into the coax socket at the back of the tv.
I think the coax socket on the back of the tv is female, so should I get some "coax male to f-plug male"...
I was just about to get rid of it, but my original digib0x started working again, so I bought a quad LNB and hooked it up in the bedroom.
Now, if I buy a "yellow house" ftv card on ebay, will I have to buy one which was activated in my tv region, or can I buy any card and change the region...
Thank-you for your advice iceman. Turns out all it needed was to hold on the backup button while powering up. If I had been a little smarter to begin with...:-DOH!
Thank-you rolfw. This simple step seems to have fully corrected the problem. This is the first time this digib0x ever started up on the "$ky customer channel". It is great to have it working properly :)
