I already fixed the problem - my lnb's were a bit too far apart and the hotbird was supposed to be my main satellite while sirius is #2.
For your info, the sirius signal is very strong here, bur with 1m dish we can only get the russian/ukranian channels and not the scandinavian/tv romania packages.
Hi All,
I have a 1m dish facing Sirius and yesterday I decided to attach a second LNB for Hotbird (this is something that everyone I know here is doing right now). There seems to be a problem as the 2nd LNB seems to be totally inactive. I examined the cables, the connections, the diseqc and...
Hello all,
I need your advise on how to connect the following and with what cables:
a digital receiver (with 2 SCART)
a DVD (with surround system)
a VCR
a TV
From what I can understand from the diagram that is included with the receiver, I should use 1 SCART to connect the STB to the VCR...
Exactly my point CH,
My list is EMPTY. The grey box (which usually comes up on the screen containing the scanned channels) is completely blank. It scans as normally, the signal is there, the automatic skip and network are "NO", but I can not see the channels when scanning finishes.
Hi CH,
Thanks for the suggestion, however, you are one step ahead of me - you can see the channels and then you go on to delete one of them. I, on the other hand, can not reach to the stage where I can see the channels (in order to delete one of them).

Cheers CH!
Just to add something insteresting: Using humbox 4.1 settings editor I downloaded xamuh_68.5east_58west_0101.hnf in order to compare and eventually to import the missing channels to my Humax. Guess what: not even one of the encrypted channels from that package is on that list...
Sorry CH, I should have mentioned that I have set the Automatic Skip to "NO". To be honest, out of frustration, I have tried a million combinations with NO+No, Yes+No, you name it --> I've tried it :)
Hello all,
I have a 6in1 patched Humax 5400Z and for the past three years I hace scanned for channels on Hotbird, Telstar12, and Serius2 and have never experienced problems with finding channels (of course following lyngsat's frequenies, symbol rates, etc).
Yesterday, I received an original...
Hello All,
I am experiencing problems with one of my dishes. A couple of days ago we had a very thunderous and rainy night and in the morning there was a msg "No or Bad Signal" on 99% of the channels. Only about 10 channels were still coming and going, until more rain and lightning hit us...
Hello all,
Can anybody explain to me what is an FSS Beam? From Lyngsat.com on the Sirius 2 satellite I have noticed that under "beam" there are 2 types: BSS and FSS. I can open all the F-T-A channels that have BSS beam, but I can not open the FSS ones even though they are F-T-A too.
thanks...
Thanks Rolfw,
Just to be on the safe side: The receiver that I need should have only one slot, right? Particularly, an embedded irdeto CAM. However, if it has two, then this is an advantage but not a necessity?
Thanks
krassi
Hello all,
If you have the time, can you pls rank (as per your own view, experience, etc) the top 10 digital receivers. The reason I am asking is that where I come from (an eastern European country) there are several brands on sale which I have never heard of, but they are trated as top-range...
Thanks Old Satellite,
I had the allignment checked and it turned out (as you said) the wind had slightly moved both dishes. On top of that, one of the LNBs had to dry up as there was quite a bit of water inside it.
Surprisingly, my frind had the same problem!
Just one more question: You...
