RTL Radio (Germany) was on DSR (16 channels, uncompressed, 48ks/s, 16 bit) on DFS Kopernikus 1 and TV Sat 2 from 1992 to Jan 1999 when DSR transmissions ended. As far as I know, DSR was never on Astra.

Possibly but the scan was done where I used to have a dish i.e. shielded by the house and trees to the north and by trees in every other direction. There are no cell sites within about 1/2 mile and none line of sight. Using a portable analyser, the levels were 10-20dB higher outside the tree screen.

Here's a scan using an EF Data 35K LNA with a vertical linear feed and scalar ring at 1.5m above ground, no dish. The location is surrounded by trees, near Chelmsford, Essex. The analyser was set to max hold for about 10 minutes. Marker 1 3.8GHz, 2 4.2GHz and 3 peak level Radar altimeters...
