Humax Feesat HDR - Hard Drive Upgrade ?

Don't foget anyne doing this should use a AV drive as these are designed for the purpose. They do cost a little more but I would not take the risk personally for peace of mind.... For this in the past I have used WD drives, info: WD AV-GP Looks like these drives are now available upto 3Tb...

Humax Feesat HDR - Hard Drive Upgrade ?

Anyone tried this? If yes is there still the issues with going beyond 1Tb? Running low on space thanks to more and more good HD content so wanted to upgrade again from 1Tb to something bigger. Can then put the 1Tb in my second Humax box.

Humax Feesat HDR - Hard Drive Upgrade ?

Hi, Meant to post this a few weeks ago but didn't have the time. Did the upgrade before Xmas mainly so I could set programs to record while away without the danger of running out of space. Was ca. 80% full After upgrade 20%. Installed the WD Green power 1Tb AV drive. Did this by initially...

Humax Feesat HDR - Hard Drive Upgrade ?

I will probably look at buying this drive: Western Digital AV-GP, 32MB, 1TB, SATA-II, 24/7 As it's designed for the job from my understanding. Maybe first try calling HUMAX support and ask if they plan to add 1.5Tb support.

Humax Feesat HDR - Hard Drive Upgrade ?

I have a Humax HDR Feesat box with a 320Gb Hard Drive. I would like to upgrade this to 1 or 1.5Tb. Anyone done this already? I assume the drive is a SATA drive, hopefully SATA II is supported. Also what is the format of the drive? i.e. can I copy the files over with my SATA Dock where I can...

    Sky UK EPG

I myself am new to the Dreambox and did try finding this plugin through what I believe is the 'Blue-Panel' but no luck. Guess I need to download it and copy to my dreambox. Any pointers would be greatfully received. I have used Unix before but never a Dreambox or Linux.

    Sky UK EPG

Not sure if this helps you, but found this recently on another Forum: Sky EPG on a Dreambox I am using a Dreambox with my Sky Viewing Card and am very happy with all the features. The only thing missing is (was) a good EPG. Sky's EPG doesn't follow standards, so if you use anything other than...

    Dreambox and HDTV

A bit late to this thread I know, but the Dreambox 7xxx will not support HD. The receiver has to be an HD one. The infamous dreambox 8000 will be the one to get if it ever is released. You DO NOT need HDMI to view HD content, but it is the best interface as it is 'Digital'. There may also be...
