Hi,
I've recently resurrected an old 60cm dish that was on the house before we bought it. At the moment I have it rigged up on a short mast wedged with breeze blocks inside a 70cm concrete sewer pipe. It isn't pretty I have it positioned a small distance away from the house as that enables it to see further round to the west than the existing dish.
I have the dish pointed at 12.5W at the moment - I can get 20 or so channels. Tunis TV 12583H, for example, is quite strong. I can't get the Italian channels on 12718H 36510 *at all* - zero signal (OK - the Openbox says 43% but that's what it always says when there is nothing there). Flysat and Lyngsat both indicate that I should be able to get something there and I'm within the published 51dbW footprint. The sky is clear and there is little wind. Replacing the Optex LNB with a Black Ultra gives better signal quality but still no dice.
I'd be interested to know if anyone with a dish pointed (or that can be pointed) at 12.5W can see this TP. Thanks! Note that I'm in eastern France near the Swiss border.
