I think this will cause a few problems in the lower bit of the C Band spectrum, for C Banders..

I read elsewhere that when some of the C-Band spectrum was auctioned off in the USA that existing users at the time of the auction were invited to register their setups to be eligible for some type of support. It turns out that they are now replacing free of charge all C-Band dishes that were registered with the commission with brand new solid dishes, possibly along the lines of DH spun aluminium. It applied to home enthusiasts as well as corporate.

I cant see the same thing happening here in the UK but I got plenty dishes 'ere ready to be registered if they ask. A pair of 4.5m motorised DH dish setups would look nice on my patio.

Yes, not much chance of that happening here! I live out in the sticks, can hardly get a mobile signal as it it, so I might just get lucky..

A little less analogue, and a lot more crap.

The mobile providers prefer to stick a full band 5G tower at the bottom of your garden as recompense.

Just let them try!! We are screened by a nice big hill with mobile masts the other side. The only really useable signal at out gaff is O2..

Within the linked article another 80MHz of the UHF band is also up for grabs at the same time.
