If you could add a stabiliser from the wall to just above the motor at the top of the "mast", that would make the whole arrangement more solid - maybe use the same sort of bracket that is already fixed to the wall, but inverted and mounted so that the "upstand is very close to the mast above the motor and then clamp the two together (you'd probably have to shorten the upstand on the new bracket though)
Done this support dish stayed perfectly aligned during high winds 3 days ago

Like the "additional supports/braces" on most of my dishes, that'll never win any beauty contests - but, Hey, it does the job!:-clap

That must be a pig to align when it does go out

TBH, that's probably true, but hopefully it won't happen.

OTOH, my suggestion in Post #23 for a second support involved a 2nd bracket of the same design as the existing original one, but inverted, and that would be a lot more substantial than the bent strip currently fitted - and any movement due to the wind would then simply be the motor slipping around the pole on which it is mounted, and, as such, relatively easy to correct.

It’s sturdy enough and survived without latest metal strip through 3 major storms.
When high wind pressure is on I have to change the longitude a bit, say from 3.1 to 3.0 / 3.2
This only affects the weak satellites.
If i had fitted t&k brackets, I would still have to bring the dish outwards and use the same small balcony bracket.
This was the only way to fit the dish on the side wall. Front wall installation is not allowed in the area.
I had to make a wooden model of the both brackets and a cardboard model dish to find the measurements.
If there is a will, there is a way.

Are you able to catch 62e? I managed to catch it with a CM 120cm and I'm getting 14db on 11555V.

However, I'm getting very weak signal on 27w (9.5db) and on 30w (4db)

Would this be an issue with the non-penetrating mount being not plumb or an elevation/declination issue on the polar mount?

As far as the ground stand goes, it depends what you use to measure 'plumbness'. When I set up my 1.2 meter dish I used a digital angle finder and tried to achieve a result to within 0.1 of a degree.

I've used an inclinometer and spirit level but since the roof is not straight, whenever I get the pole plumb, I'm unable to get anything past 36e and 5w. At the moment the mount looks like it's plumb and I'm getting 62e to 30w-ish.

Mate, for me east appears weak after 53e it might be due to some neighbours big fir Trees which might be causing it. West however I have a lovely clear line of sight
