Reception of Intelsat 33E
11491H 11.4 dB
11498H 11.5 dB
11504V 8.1 dB
11522V 10.0 dB

And old Intelsat 904

Looks like the new 33E is slightly weaker.
On the C band is quiet now, African channel seems to have shifted or change frequency.

Here's my current line up taken during light snow and fog.
3738V 1665
3752V 18315
3772V 5000
4046V 16913

A couple of the S2 signals are about a dB under lock.

Edited to add that on Ku 11077V is peaking around 7.1dB SNR but with no lock, not sure how much mor this one will need?

Did you mean spot #27 maybe, that is centered on Istanbul? With the strong signal at your location & in Cyprus, and the mediocre signal in W-Europe, I think #27 is used for the Bulgarian mux.

Yes. I agree. It is probably on spot #27 as far as the other reception reports are considered. Thanks.

I was looking the spots #27 & #28 and my opinion due to our receptions is that the frequency (11077 Ver ) comes from spot #28.
And i'm explain why ...... We have receptions from some friends that they stay in Poland,Germany,Croatia and France and spot #27 doesn't cover these countries but spot #28 does !!!!
Now about my locaton the spot #28 doesn't cover me but is very close to me. My reception was with my big dish (3.4m) and not with my small one (2.1m)

I made a new reception with my both dishes. The signal with 2.1m comes at 15dB and with 3.4m at 17.8dB

The satellite operator is pretty dumb !! :-doh
Using so many spot beams, instead they could use a single wide beam, coming across to India as well. :-lol

Your interpretation, please, of huge signal with 65 cm dish in Istanbul if it is a signal of spot #28 ??

It doesnt work like that these days.Frequency coordination to avoid interfering with existing satellites is increasingly complicated as the number of broadcast satellites in orbit increases year on year.

Unfortunately multiple tight spotbeams are the future of satellite tv. You can expect to see a gradual decline in "out of area" reception as older satellites are replaced
