Found to be active, but the Velux windows installed meant the signal was less than optimal. A log periodic fixed the missing channels (on London), but even so, it must be older than most here.

Any idea of the brand/model and age ?

Somewhere in England (possibly?)!
No idea.

OTOH, the (installed in the early 1990's) "non-yagi" design multi-element linear "X" style aerial in the attic is still working pretty well.

IIRC, having determined the correct compass alignment - and having marked the "aiming point" on the adjacent dividing wall to the house next door with a large black "X"! - I've never had any real signal strength issues. That remained true even after my party-wall neighbour lined his attic rafters with aluminium-faced thermal insulation slabs (he had followed my own advice on that as I had done the same several years previously to improve - and it did - the thermal insulation in our property) .

Thus, might I suggest that the alignment of the previous aerial was not "optimum"?

Interesting find! I always think these old relics should be cared for having survived for so long, it's always nice to spot a B1 or B3 still up on a rooftop. Might be worth posting on the vintage-radio.net or emailing Bill Wright as he's a fan of these olduns Wright's Aerials

Let us know if you find out any more about it.

Thanks. Having looked through the Wright's back catalogue, this particular aerial is not mentioned, so the search goes on.

One of the guys reckon it could be a Telecraft antenna, but Belling Lee clamp.
