I appear to have one of these sitting in a box from the purchase of a 3.8m many years ago and can't see myself using it.
Specification - Prodelin Feed C Band Linear 41 degrees Model 0800-2441 with interface Tx "N" Connector

Suitable for all the 0.6 f/d dish designs which would be the 1.8 and 2.4 C band offsets (1251/1183 and similar)

The box looks new (though I will open the seal over the weekend just to be sure). Normally they would have been something around £450 new but this can go out the door for £175 delivered to the UK with appropriate insurance.

I may have some other parts for similar dishes coming up soon as I keep finding things that I put into storage a while ago.

That feed would have been useful for the inverted 3.8m Prodelin where you assisted with the install. It was fixed on 68.5E, a linear C-Band satellite.
Your asking price is good value if there is anyone with a need for the linear version of the feed.

If you come across the circular equivalent in your other parts please let me know.

The owner of that 3.8 (in Purley) didn't want to spend any more money on the project.

I do have the circular arrangement for the feed, John had the spare one, Plus there is a centrefed depolarising feed from 3 - 3.7 metre Prodelin in another box that would fit straght on once the two ends are unbolted.

Are you moving into uplinking ? I can see a huge L-band upconverter at the back of the shed.

Actually, I just realised I have the Prodelin C-Band rib tickler for circular polarity with the golden horn. I think it may have come from the same USA seller on eBay that you got one from that was in need of some renovation? Apologies, please ignore my request re the circular version of the feed.

No, not moving into uplinking, just reception of circular C-Band signals as usual.

I did not buy from the US, I just saw the feed in that state and thought somebody here could restore it, or use for parts.

The 3.8m I have here is the Ku band dual optics version (1388), once I get some of the garden cleared of foliage its going up.

Ah OK, I thought it may have come from the USA seller as he had a weather beaten one for sale a while back. The USA seller has a golden horn for sale to fit the feed but the horn is for a prime focus dish.

Is the picture attached below similar to the linear feed you have or sale?

That is a circular feed, possibly an Intelsat 1.09 VAR. About £2400 new.

I'll be able to get pictures of the feed once I pull a couple of other boxes out of the way (and step over a car, some ladders and two windscreens)

That looks like the one i'm using on my 2.2 PF at the moment (not your extended version CH ), with the front end mod to be suitable for a PF scalar - quality built, top class performer & quite easily modded to make it rotory for H/V/L/R all in one bag. Whip it's clothes off for us CH for a better view please .... & don't forget whilst your rummaging - keep your eyes peeled for the telecom lnb bits

Yes, it is from the PF 3m I bought years ago for a project, ended up selling it as a Ku band system to a client and kept the feed components back.

I think the Cal Amp I pulled from the shed earlier is the only one I have. Do you have an ADX in reserve ?

When is the satellite due to start its out of band transmissons ?

I recon i have one of those ADX's in my stock pile somewhere - - i'll have a rummage.
Don't know when they plan to use the 13.4 - 13.65 GHz transmissions or even if they are going to squirt it our way. Iv'e tried to get info out of theses companies in the past via my business but they just ignore the requests

Interesting, will you be taking down the Unimesh dish with the solid panels or do you plan to operate a pair of big 'uns with both the Unimesh and Prodelin up at the same time?

I only have planning for one dish in the garden so the Unimesh is retiring.

Hello
You may be able to help me.
I am trying to improve the efficiency of my C band dish and wonder if the conical ring used to receive c band on an offset dish would also work on a prime focal dish?

Highly unlikely.

Notwithstanding the different f/d ratio of the two designs, the aperture of a feedhorn is matched to the dish to maximiase efficiency and reduce unwanted noise received from beyond the reflector, ground, space and other sources.
