Bought a Garmin 250 widescreen at the weekend (just under £130)

Does everything I wanted, and the battery lasts about 12 hours as well which is a bonus.

Now all I need to do is find a way of connecting the DVD player and a tuner.

Suggest you browse e-bay (.com - not .co.uk - same username & password)
Prices from "unknown" units with the right specs can be AMAZING - mostly from China / Hong Kong
Even worth risking it on the absolutely dirt cheap bids.:confused

I'm happy with my Navigo widescreen from ebuyer - loads of support on ebuyer forum and others like PC Tailor - easy enough to "hack" - mine runs quite a few GPS progs - cheap and cheerful -well recommended! Recent models a bit more robust than the early ones but at the price I'm certainly not complaining!
:) ;)

Hi Channel Hopper.......it's Punjetas again.........I purchased a Tom Tom XL which worked well in UK, Italy and Switzerland with SEAMLESS MAPS.....but on an map update I lost the maps and had a real pain with Tom Tom to reinstall same ( I threatened them with a Small Claims court action). They insisted that I only had UK,ROI and Italy......True, but this applied to another Tom Tom I have......Beware that if you have say a basic TOM TOm UK ROI only and need say to import a European map.... In my case Italy......you get just that...Italy is square and has no overlap to say to Switzerland. Kind Regards John
