So I have ended up with the Technisat Digibox UHD S,which has absolutely no video outputs apart from one hdmi output
For realignment purposes,I purchased a hdmi to scart converter,to connect to my existing satellite finder/receiver (see photos of equipment)
However, the picture keeps cutting out every other second,I don’t know if this is due to the satellite finder/receiver becoming faulty after dropping (damaged screen) or whether it’s the hdmi/scart adapter
Yesterday,I lost the picture completely however sound can be heard
I can’t connect the satellite finder to the dish directly as it’s DVB-S only and I have lost signal on DVB-S2 transponder
what I would like to know, would I be better off using another 4K receiver coupled with a tv for outside or getting a satellite finder such as v8 satellite finder?
Thanks for any input

I think you need a HDMI to Scart and not a Scart to HDMI converter. The Scart is the input and the HMDI is the output in the one pictured, surely you need it the other way around?

Last week somebody on here had a similar issue, with the output of a receiver cutting out at regular intervals.

Somewhere in England (possibly?)!

That was @Analoguesat IIRC with his 5402 M3. FWIW, I've noticed that using them to set up dishes/motors, the SS from both of mine drops out every 4-5 seconds - I suspect it's maybe something to do with the receiver sending DiSEqC signals to the motor/LNB to "check/confirm the status" thereof when it doesn't get any signal, but that's only a total guess!

Which satellite are you aiming at? If it has any DVB-S transponders just use one of them to peak the dish.

It is my TD88 multi-lnb setup,which is 9E,13E,19E,28E
I tried as suggested, but they return temporarily on 13E,after realigning and then disappearing again the next day
I always assume its tree growth during the summer that causes me to lose certain transponders but despite pruning, and my line of sight is shown as completely clear for all the satellites, using the DishPointer Pro app,the problem remains
My focus is 13E

No, the one I recall was an Octagon receiver that the o/p couldn't figure out the setup, so it went back to the supplier.

You wouldn't be the first to run into problems after an app claimed the line of sight was clear. Is it just 13e causing problems? If so try swapping the 13e LNB for one of the others. If not then try raising the dish if possible.
If you can re-peak the dish every time then something is not fully secure in how the dish is mounted.

Do you live near a Lidl? Forget the old meter and get one of these satellite beepers:

Thanks ozumo
I have multiple satellite beepers, but I prefer to have a Tv/monitor,it makes life far easier, especially with the multi lnb setup

Fair enough. Does your hdmi to scart adapter have a power socket? You can get a usb to dc power lead cheaply from amazon or ebay. I use them to power HDMI switches & splitters. Sometimes the hdmi cable alone supplies enough juice, but most often not.

Also did you try lowering the resolution of the Technisat?

Yes

Yes,it does, and i did connect to the Technisat via usb, otherwise as you say,it didn’t work
I gave up,trying to use my existing satellite finder/receiver and just connected the Technisat to a borrowed from a bedroom HD TV,and managed to sort out 13E,however issues still remain with 9E,but I suspect its due to tree/leaves growth.
Will have to be more ruthless with the pruning, and see if that alleviates the problem with 9E.
Thanks again ozumo
