I do something similar - I start with 11954H (BBC interactive TP which is my absolute strongest) just to pick up the right sat, and (NOW since 1N) fine-tune on 10964H (the new CH5 TP). After tightening up, I just lean a tad on my dish mount in all directions to check that 10714/10773H (also my weakest) are as good as I can get. This seems to work for me. I know 28.2 and 28.5 are regarded as 1, but I think with the larger dishes, I think you can detect a marginal difference between them.
