European FTA-Rights in German are much cheaper then European FTA-Rights in English. If you buy the rights only for one country (what the EU court recently decided should not be possible) you need to make sure, that your broadcast is only receivabla in said country.

Anyone come up with the label 20791? just rescanned and came up with this label but it doesnt transfer itself into my Vu+ tv list for some reason- same tp as 20700 etc.

AS is correct that it is flagged as data.

In DBedit right click on the channel and select "change type to TV". Send the channel list back to the Vu+ and the channel will appear... not that there is anything on it at the moment.

who is talking about EUROPEAN FTA rights???? i was not ....and who says ´´ýou need to make sure´ please tell me one source of a US company that states its not happy with things as they are..I watch MBC all the time in the clear in english .the same films as sky...free....

There are two audio tracks. Only the Dolby Surround track works.

AC3 audio OK on DVB Dream/DVB viewer. Yes, odd resolution, but ITV HD have used it to save increasing the bitrate.

No 3D is broadcast in 1920x1080i - at least that is what the BBC used for the Wimbledon 3D transmissions.

I dont understand why ITV are mixing their HD channels with SD channels on the same transponders. It would be much more efficient to put all the HD channels on DVB-S2 transponders, and the SD channels on DVB-S ones. They could use 8PSK as Ch4 HD does. More datarate as a consequence, so they can use the full resolution and not stuff like 960x1080 ... which is a bit like 480x576 in SD ;)

The standard def C5 family of channels has finally been confirmed as going fta & joining the Freesat epg. Therefore :

Five USA / +1

will join Freesat on Thursday Dec 8th.

epg numbers are:

129: 5 USA
130: 5 USA +1
131: 5*
132: 5* +1

No news yet about C5 HD - that one is unlikely before summer 2012
