Just a question: what does it mean "ITV 1 HD TNS test card on" ? I saw on the Astra1N page of Flysat, on the right side in comments of ITV bouquet.

Is that not the resolution used for 3D transmissions?

3d is suppose to be 3840*1080 ie two 1920*1080 pictures in one video

Why 960x1080px ?

Who uses 960px resolution ?! what is that ?

ill need to check but it could be the full screen version of 1080p 1920*1080 is widescreen i think its 1440*1080 for fillscreen and gerlins would come under a fullscrene unless it was made in widescreen cant be sure jsut guessing it fullscreen goign on it age

edit: seems 960 is a poor broadczsting sytem or lamemines terms itv using less bandwidth so i suspect there tesitg the transponder

It does make you think what will happen to the "freesat from sky" cards...they will only have Five HD, Sony, Pick, Viva, Motors and LFCTV...if we are expecting Five HD to go FTA mid 2012, thats another channel less, so wil the others go FTA or Sky pay?

I can confirm that C4 hd has vanished from my screen. 1.35 dish just south of Lanzarote.

960 is half HD resolution. Or one half frame of a compound 3D picture. 960 + 960 = 1920. HD by default is considered 1920 x 1080, and 1440 x 1080 the minimum allowed to be advertised as HD.

If you have a skt hd box I recommend that you do a Planner rebuild
To find it press services 0 0 1 select and selekt "Rebuild", I had to do that to get it to pick up C4HD from astra iN

I thought ITV2 3 and 4 in HD were all on there and ITV was planning to keep them on Sky for the foreseeable future....

The Sky epg will have updated itself over the course of yesterday...Im sorry to say I think you might need a bigger dish. People like Bluplatinum and Huevos will be good people to advise you on what might be big enough....

Andrew I stand corrected you are right. A sky sub would seem the only way out for people who want to get some ITV, apart from ITV1 then....

Had a few calls where, sometime sunday night and monday morning, some sky boxes have been getting "No signal" messages on their 105, 174, 175, 176, 177 channels, even after powering off and on. Only on the Five channels, all other horizontal high frequencies are all ok.
But using the 1n frequencies the "fives" are OK and back again.
Some form of "mapping" issue crept by...?

totally agreed. the jeremy kyle show is as much gutter trash as most of those on his show.
