Today the Al Jazeera sports channels on Arabsat have all gone no signal. This happened about noon GMT. About 2 hours later the same channels on Nilesat suffered the same fate but have now come back. Does anyone have any info about any attacks similar to last year in April.
Strange

Strange

Same here but on Hotbird.

It stopped working this morning, so I got a signal update around 2pm. 1,2,3,4 started working but 5,6,7,8 did not.

Around 2.45, the channels all started to break up, went out for a bit and came back now for La Liga and it's just black again.

JSC Sports? Appears to be ok on 13E here. I cant see the content as Im not a subscriber but there's plenty of signal evident.

The tp clock is wrong though - apparently its 11.50am :D

Signal is strong for everyone, it's not working though.

Even the FTA Global channel is black.

It's true on hotbird there is no picture but showing signal. Nilesat has signal and picture on one transponder but the other is no signal.

There is interference to broadcast Al Jazeera Sports channels on the satellite Nilesat. Sorry for the inconvenience and are working every effort to return things back on track and overcome all attempts at sabotage

Looks like the attacks continue again tonight. It seems like it is only happening when the FA Cup is showing. Arabsat all channels affected as they are all on the same frequency. On Nilesat they are on 2 transponders. One is working the other is not. Al Jaz +3 showing Arsenal v Leeds with English audio is not available. Al Jaz +5 showing the same game is on but only Arabic commentary. Coincidence??? Mmmm
Cheers

Ps not checked Hotbird

For Iranian interference speaks to Al Jazeera

The broadcasts of Al Jazeera, the largest Arabic TV network streaming news has its headquarters in Qatar, accept interference from Iran, according to a reference satellite managing company Arabsat, a copy of which came in possession of the French Agency.

The television network announced Sunday frequency changes due to "constant interference in the satellite's signal" in the Middle East and North Africa.

According to the report of Arabsat, which states that conducting an investigation at the request of Al Jazeera, the interference from two different locations in Iran, one close to Tehran and the other near the northwestern city Maragech.

The network of Qatar has been criticized by many schemes to cover the uprisings in the Arab world, and blamed mainly on the regime in Damascus, an ally of Iran, that distorts and exaggerates news of the revolt against Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

The network had already denounced interference in its broadcasts in February, before the fall of the regime of President Hosni Mubarak in Egypt and the Egyptian Nilesat company manager had stopped then retransmits emissions.
