Down in Cornwall at the moment with the inlaws and the babies and.....

It's peeing it down here and I just spent 30 minutes realigning their Sky dish with nothing more than a ladder, pliers and a Sky box signal meter, which is useless.

Trees are the issue here, which have grown, so just raised the dish on the pole and mildly realigned it. The Sky box signal strength and quality now read about about 2/3s of the arbitrary scale but some channels are still breaking up. The dish needs a proper relocation really.

I've just been woken by a rather large flash of lightning outside, plus near simultaneous thunder, it wasn't a firework.
I had been hoping for a long lie in.

That hurricane out in the Atlantic is also showing few signs of weakening.

Getting battered here (Outer Hebrides) force 8 gusting to 9/10, maybe up to 11  tomorrow.
Dish hasn't moved but I'll be surprised if the power stays on.
Take care & stay safe.

São Paulo has had more than its fair share of wet weather in the past 48 hours

Wind pattern in a little under 24 hours.

Oddly there are very few news sites mentioning this.

Somewhere in England (possibly?)!
Not creaking here (yet??), but you can certainly hear the wind getting up.

PS: had to fix and clean a semi-blocked kitchen sink drain (cut the outside pipe, jet wash that in both directions, jury-rig re-joining them with SA tape until I can fit a proper push-fit joiner when the weather is better!) - glad I'll not have to do that tomorrow.

Now horizontal rain and a car alarm at the end of the road.

Another sleepless night on the cards.

Creaking roof here too in Essex. I setup a second zone 1 dish to a plant pot yesterday for NYE, not too hopeful it’ll still be there tomorrow :D

Its been blowing a hooley & hosing it down most of the day here. The wind does seem to have decreased the last hour or so but the dishes have been taking a battering in the storm today - Ive been monitoring the Reuters feed much of the day & noted severe break up in the strongest gusts several times.
